One of the greatest joys of my work is building lifelong relationships, and Stefan Broodryk is exactly that! I’ve known Stefan since his primary school days, and what a journey it’s been.
Stefan was born with PFFD (Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency) – a rare congenital condition that results in a significantly shortened femur and complex limb structure. His residual limb presents unique challenges, but Stefan knows exactly what he wants and needs in a prosthesis, and he’s never shy to tell me!
He doesn’t use silicone liners or suction systems. Instead, we go for a custom PE Lite liner with targeted build-ups to ensure a smooth, easy slide into the socket – perfectly shaped for both comfort and control.
Working with Stefan keeps me sharp; his high standards and clear feedback push me to constantly improve and innovate.
