What keeps our profession so interesting and challenging is that no amputee is the same…Dorkas Siko presented with one of the most challenging residual limbs (stumps) I have encountered.
She has lots of loose tissue, weak skin and poor muscle strength. This all makes it quite difficult to manufacture a prosthetic leg that is completely comfortable and that accommodates these issues.
She was with us from early morning till late afternoon to complete the process in such a way that she was completely happy.
