The Manufacturing Process of a Prosthetic Leg

In manufacturing a prosthetic leg, alignment and setup of your prosthetic socket and components play a very important role in what the amputee experiences when wearing/walking with the prosthetic leg.
With experienced users/walkers, it is very important to listen to their feedback on what they feel while walking and translate that to alignment adjustments in coalition with your experience as a Prosthetist.

The manufacturer of prosthetic components has prescribed alignment preferences/rules and the amputee has “walking feedback” that has to be merged to produce the most comfortable prosthetic leg with the custom/correct alignment for every individual amputee.
It is important to adhere to these recommendations and the feedback given to provide the best result for your amputee.

It is important to listen and then apply this information to an adjustment.
