I met Kobus a few weeks ago and in my head, it was a massive challenge. He is a very motivated amputee and was very determined to start walking again. However, at his age (54) the challenge is larger than in younger amputees, especially after losing a large amount of muscle mass and strength. It is therefore difficult to set a realistic yet positive outlook and goal.
This amazing progress surprised me, as his goal was to walk before going on holiday and he achieved this goal in a very short amount of time.
I want to congratulate Kobus for this amazing achievement!
