Mr. Gerhard Buter lost his right leg in 2012 due to blood circulation problems, and very unfortunately lost his left leg in December 2022, for the same reasons. Despite a below-the-knee double amputation, Gerhard’s determination and the support of cutting-edge prosthetic devices have enabled him to reclaim his independence, pursue his passions, and inspire others along the way. Never have I met a 66 year old double amputee with a more positive and determined attitude in my life! Only one day after we fitted his left leg with a Below Knee Prosthesis, Gerard went and started with the incline, decline steps! Gerhard, you are amazing and an absolute inspiration to us all!
