Today, we had the pleasure of fitting Mr. Ben Pienaar, a 76-year-old below-knee amputee, with a state-of-the-art prosthesis using Össur’s Direct Socket System.
This amazing technology allows us to manufacture the socket directly onto the amputee’s residual limb, providing a customised and comfortable fit in just one day!
While this system isn’t suitable for everyone, it offers an incredible advantage for those who qualify, streamlining the process and enhancing comfort and mobility. Mr. Pienaar left our clinic happy and comfortable, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have been part of his journey!
