Silicone Insoles: Silicone Insoles are intended to give a shock absorbing cushion area on the heavy load areas of the foot. The insole supports the arch (valgus) area of the foot and aids the metatarsal area through supplying a cushion area giving shock absorption. The silicone insole is manufactured in such a way that it hugs the foot as it impacts on the ground through the different phases of the gait process. Moulded Insoles: This form of insole is manufactured according to a plaster cast taken of the patient’s feet. A soft material is used in the manufacture to ensure comfort while giving maximum support to the arch and metatarsal areas of the foot.
